Fresh off the Farm

7 Apr

For those of you who have not stopped in at Farmstand 46, Templeton’s newest hot spot, you seriously need to make time for this place! From sandwiches to coffee to artisan dairy products to Hush Harbor bread (haven’t heard of Hush Harbor? Take a look) to fresh estate-grown produce to wood-fired pizzas every Friday and Saturday, this eatery has it all. And to top it off, Four Vines Winery recently opened their newly renovated tasting room in the same building.

Try: the Il Profesore made-to-order sandwich (Salami, Cappicola, Mortadella and Aged Provolone with Roasted Red Peppers and Arugula on a Baguette) or order it salad-style. Also of note, The Teej (Oil Poached Tuna, Fresh Tomato, Sliced Radish, Hard Boiled Egg, Arugula, Red Onion with White Anchovies on a Hard Crusty Roll with Black Olive Tapenade, Pasolivo Olive Oil and Red Wine Vinegar). Delicious!

Sit: outside under the (currently) blooming cherry trees. They are stunning this time of year.

Ask: about the Drop-A-Pot Service (trust me, you have to ask).

Follow them on Twitter and Facebook. Open daily, 7AM to 7PM.
